The school is set amidst natural surroundings. The green lung, the open lawns, are marked with a colourful bonanza of fresh floral bounty. The luxuriant green cover in the quadrangle cools the air and creates a lovely ambience.
The school is a coeducational institution and has a magnificent building constructed in a vast expanse of 1.77 acres of land with good infrastructure , dedicated experienced teaching and non-teaching staff, well equipped laboratories, spacious class rooms which promotes natural flow of light and air, playground and to top it all, reasonable fee structure. The school houses among 1495 students with 50 teaching and non-teaching staff.
Here at DHS, we have smart classes in 25 classrooms. To aid the process of learning, we have Educomp Digital Learning through smart board which is a prestigious venture adopted by our school. It empowers students with well researched, mapped to curriculum digital modules which are projected right away in the class room to elucidate the concepts.
A scientific temperament is nurtured through fully equipped and suitably designed laboratories for Physics, Chemistry , Biology and Computer Science. Students are encouraged to use the facilities to enhance their innovative and scientific skills.
A lovely huge playground with kids play area and a basket ball court adds to the beauty of the school. RO purified drinking water is available for the students and teachers all the time. The SMS facility aids in quick communication to the parents. A separate cycle shed for the boys, girls and teachers. The students of Std I to IX are given smart progress cards with a graphical representation of their performances.
